BASSPEDDLER also known as Doogie Holland has been involved in the local music scene for over a decade. He started out in the Arkansas based metal core quintet AND THE ANGELS WERE SILENT, who had over night success by entering and winning the Battle of the band’s for Disturbed’s Music As A Weapon Tour, catapulting them into regional touring and countless shows.
Over time, Doogie began experimenting with other genres of music including bluegrass (he was an original member of Arkansauce, which is comprised of fellow And The Angels Were Silent alumni) and Reggae and Electronic Music. He first stated producing beats under the alias Roll Models in 2011, but in early 2014 is when he introduced his current project and most successful to date, BASSPEDDLER. After only playing one show as BP, he was invited to be apart of The Air Up There at SXSW in Austin Texas and it was that performance alone that landed him several of the biggest festival appearances he’s had to date.
In 2016 Basspeddler went on hiatus as he needed to focus on personal matters, and after an almost 2 year absence from the scene, Peddler is back and even stronger, more focused and armed with an arsenal of new music. If you’ve been to a Basspeddler show, then you know he knows no bounds, and will play whatever he seems fit so don’t expect anything but the UNEXPECTED.
